High Desert Water Bank

The High Desert Water Bank is a water supply and reliability water banking project in partnership with Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (Metropolitan).  The goals of the project are to improve the reliability of State Water Project (SWP) deliveries and AVEK’s financial stability by recharging and recovering up to 70,000 acre-feet per year with a total storage capacity goal of 280,000 acre-feet of State Water Project water within the 1,500-acre site.
